Mopitus Reflects
on WebPhone
This skit actually turned out to be a bigger hit than I though it ever would. And I can't quite figure out why.

For one thing, the product already exists, or so I'm told. I was not aware of this, of course, when I wrote the skit, so the idea kind of took a life of its own. I really got a kick out of how Americans would embrace any kind of innovation that related to the all-important internet, even if it makes things more inconvenient than not using it.

And then I got all caught up in how annoying and silly those teleprompts are during phone calls, and in how frustrating it is how reliant we are on technology. I take jabs at all aspects of Americana in this skit. So just enjoy.
