Mopitus Reflects
on Ooey Gooey Brand-Aids
I think this skit ranks among the top one of our ooeyest, nastiest, ickiest, foulest skits ever...but I think how well it's written makes up for how absolutely nasty it is. We had a great time recording this in one of our rare sessions together. I think we recorded this the same night we took a bunch of pictures you see all over the site...the ones where Walter and I are wearing matching shirts and hats and sometimes holding kittens. All in all, it was a great session.

One thing I noticed as I was listening to each sound byte in an attempt to put together outtakes was how often Walter was just horrified at what he had written. Every other phrase that came out of his mouth was "oh, that is so foul!" as I'm sure you'll be able to hear in the outtakes. But it was funny because he had written the thing, but still seemed surprised at what the lines were. That being said, he has the perfect voiceover voice for this one...and the perfect disgruntled vet voice, which, incidentally, was achieved by stuffing his mouth full of gumballs while he spoke. Don't believe me? Check out this picture.

So, yeah, this skit definitely goes above and beyond all sense of decency, but if you actually look past that and really listen, it's fast-paced and hilarious! Although, I must say, I'm all set with regular run-of-the-mill bandages.
