Mopitus Reflects
on Dr. T's Organ Removal
Walter wrote this skit, and he did a damn good job at it. This skit, at its surface, is kind of icky like Ooey Gooey Brand-Aids, but is so tremendously well written that you laugh at the words rather than gore and guts. There is so much jam-packed into this skit! I'm tempted to talk all about it, but I'll let you find it all for yourself.

I played the part of the pregnant woman involved in the Lamaze class. And, the funny thing is, I didn't even know what Lamaze was when I read for the part. Then, Walter told me it was some new hip pregnancy practice. And I thought that was mildly funny. But it wasn't until like the 10th time I listened to it that I realized that this woman was losing weight by having her uterus removed! A classic Walter gem that doesn't hit you until after multiple listens.

This whole thing is Walter's baby. He put the skit together originally, but without music. So I worked with it for a bit and put some fun music behind it. Which I think works well. All those sound effects you hear Walter did though. This was one of the first times I can think of where we (he) used sounds from other skits. You know, the meow and gunshot from Ellsworth Gun and Kitten Outlet...and other sound effects from Psychic Acquaintances. That's something I'm all about now, is trying to tie all our skits together.
