Checkmate is a comic strip I've been working on since late 1999. Most of the earlier strips you'll see were produced for use in the
Brown Daily Herald, and ran in that newspaper until the spring of 2001. Through the existence of the
strip, I have tried to create a bizarre world that mirrors our own, albeit with Chess Pieces instead of human beings.
